Welcome to my website. I'm a published
author, teacher researcher and experienced international communications professional. I started my career as a journalist working in print and on radio before working in the corporate sector. Building on my passion for the power of effective communication, I worked in public relations and business communications, holding senior positions in Australia and Asia helping to build strong reputations through planned, sustained and open dialogue.
As a teacher I've lectured in Western
Australia at Curtin University, Murdoch University and Edith Cowan University,
as well as overseas at the Chinese University in Hong Kong.
A popular presenter, interviewer and public
speaker, I've been active in literary festivals for many years both in
Australia and overseas.
After returning to live in Western Australia, I became interested in how refugees and asylum seekers were being treated and wrote my third book More to the Story - conversations with refugees. In 2019 I completed my PhD at Curtin Univesity which explored by dual interests in writing and human rights.
